My name is Mario Haddad and I’m a Lebanese Photographer.
I graduated with a Bachelor in computer science (minor in graphic design and Programing). After a few tries to work in that field I realized that sitting on a desk in an office from 9 to 5 isn’t really what I want to do for the rest of my life. I spent most of my childhood and teenage years outdoors, in nature, social events, and group life.
My years as a boy scout from age 7 till 27 left a big impact on how I want my path in life to continue and the office wasn’t part of that vision. Collecting badges was one of the accomplishments that an enthusiastic boy scout would strive for, and I had lots of that. I didn’t know anything about photography but to become a photographer I had to learn how a camera works and the basics of photography.
That’s when I started my research and I haven’t stopped since. Film Shooting, theater, music production, special effects, scripts and fictions, were stuff that would peak my curiosity. I was so curious to know how films were made, how special shots are taken, so I worked in production to get closer to film making, and follow my passion. A few workshops later and countless days spent on different sets, I’m happy to say I can now show made show the world the magic of this field, from behind the scenes.
Now, 13 years later, I look back at all the events I attended and all the photos that i have taken and find that this is what I want to be doing: Taking pictures. Capturing moments and sharing them with the world to see.
